MASTOPEXY
Aging affects all parts of the body and
at Élan Plastic Surgery Group we understand how pregnancy,
nursing, gaining or losing an excessive amount of weight,
and overtime gravity can result in breasts that droop
and take on an appearance that is no longer attractive.
For our patients we offer a surgery to reverse these
affects through what is called a mastopexy or breast
lift. This surgery shifts the breast contour to a more
youthful appearance and improves your self-confidence
with regard to your shape.
Breast lift is performed in our patient-friendly surgical
center where the procedure itself takes about 2 hours
to complete utilising a multitude of various incisions
that can be utilized depending on the amount of excess
skin and soft tissue. We are facile with each different
technique and can offer it dependent on the particular
option that is needed for each particular patient.
We often combine this with a breast augmentation to
restore the volume of the breast that is often lost
due to aging.
Post-operatively the recovery period for this surgery
is within the region of 1-2 weeks with most of the
immediate pain and tenderness disappearing within the
